Sergio Abuja Rodríguez is a filmmaker born in Seville, Spain and bred in Venice, California.
His short films have traveled around the world festival circuit and his film, WATERLINE, was the winning entry of the New Filmmakers from Spain Film Contest at the XVII Recent Spanish Cinema Los Angeles & Miami Film Festival.
Sergio has directed spots for top brands such as HONDA, NOKIA, T-MOBILE, WALMART and the INTEL Drone campaign, which became a viral sensation and was recognized at The CANNES LIONS Festival.
He has worked with artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Kali Uchis, Ed Sheeran, Raphael and David Bisbal, and has collaborated for more than 10 years with Hispanic Rock Star Bunbury. His work with Bunbury was nominated for a Latin Grammy.
Sergio was selected for the SHOOT ONLINE New Directors showcase as one of the worldwide up and coming directors to watch and he's currently one of the 10 participants selected for the ViacomCBS Viewfinder emerging directors program.
